PROPERTY TAXES Town property and personal tax collection begins at the end of December and ends on January 31. Any taxes paid after January 31 are handled by the county treasurer. The easiest and preferred method of payment is by mail. The town has contracted with the Price County Treasurer to collect all real estate and personal property taxes. The first installment/full payment is due by January 31 payable to: Price County Treasurer. Please include the tax stubs that were included with your tax bill for the installment that you are paying. The postmark on the envelope is the paid date, regardless of the date on the check. Receipts will be mailed within seven days of receipt. You must pay your taxes to the Price County Treasurer after the January 31 postmark deadline. The treasurer’s office hours are included with the tax due statement. DOG LICENSING INFORMATION & FEES All dogs in the town must be licensed and vaccinated for rabies. NO LICENSE WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT A CERTIFICATE OF RABIES VACCINATION. All dogs 5 months and older must have a rabies vaccination by a veterinarian. This is a state imposed law. See State Statute. Licenses are for one year and must be renewed annually. The dog owner must take care of this responsibility each year by April 1st. A late fee of $5 will be assessed after April 1st for any dog 5 months or older per WI Statute 174.04(5). You can license your dog by mail or online. If licensing online, fees apply. Please mail the Certificate of Rabies Vaccination, (as a vaccination receipt is not sufficient), when applying for dog license by mail. A stamped, self-addressed envelope must be included for return mail of your certificate(s) and tag(s). The Certificate of Rabies Vaccination will be returned with the dog license. Dog Licensing Fees Neutered or Spayed: $15 each Not Neutered or Not Spayed: $20 each Multi Dog (Kennel) License: $35 for up to 12 dogs; an additional $3 per dog over 12 dogs Direct all dog licensing questions and payments to: Price County Sheriff’s Dept.
